BACKGROUND

Infiniti Risk Solutions was set up in 2005 and was granted a limited licence for motor, personal accident and miscellaneous classes.

Additional capital was injected into Infiniti by Foord Compass, a listed company.

The senior executive team comprises of Peter de Smidt, Chris Troskie, Sharon Paterson and Meera Parbhoo. They are focused on expanding the business into all classes of short term Insurance.

The expanded licence to write all classes of Short Term Insurance was approved in March 2008 and so Infiniti Insurance came into being.

KEY TEAM MEMBERS

Peter de Smidt, the CEO and a shareholder in the company, comes with a wealth of experience in the establishment of Underwriting Managers in specialist niche markets, as well as pioneering the partnership approach to Broker Business. Peter was a Director of Hollard Insurance for 15 years.

Chris Troskie and Sharon Paterson have between them played key roles in all facets of Insurance, including underwriting, claims, finance, reinsurance and risk management. Both have been Directors of Brokerages and were on the Executive of Hollard Select Brokers.

Meera Parbhoo joined Infiniti from SASRIA where she headed up their claims team. She was previously with Hollard Insurance for 10 years, rising to the position of Senior Claims Manager.

FINANCIALS

Infiniti Insurance has been capitalised with
R125 000 000 which positions Infiniti as a major player in the industry. The Shareholders have committed to providing additional capital required to expand the business.
